A MAN and six teenagers, believed to be responsible for a spate of bicycle thefts in Jurong East, have been arrested.
Police officers who were making their rounds in the wee hours of Sunday got suspicious after they spotted three teenagers hanging out near a bicycle at Block 312 Jurong East Street 32.
They then waited and saw one of them try to unlock the bicycle chain.
The officers arrested two of them, but the third managed to run away. He was eventually arrested near Block 420 Jurong West Street 42, along with four other accomplices.
The seven are believed to have stolen at least two bicycles in the area.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Brings tears to my eyes every time I see a report like this.
